PM Modi: India's solar capacity crosses 160 GW, up from 2 GW

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing an international conference of the National Green Tribunal, said India's solar power capacity has surged from 2 GW to over 160 GW. He noted India's per-capita carbon emissions are less than half the global average, while developed nations emit about six times more. Over 50 lakh homes now have rooftop solar under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
